A Rajan
- Rajan was a founding member and the Country Head – Operations, at HDFC Bank, India, where he provided strategic and operational leadership across all business verticals, including Corporate Banking, Retail Banking, Treasury, Depository/Custody Services, and Credit Cards.
- Under his leadership, HDFC Bank’s operations saw significant advancements through strategic investments in technology. He championed continuous process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Thinking, and 5S, resulting in enhanced efficiency, cost optimization, and productivity.
- Before his tenure at HDFC Bank, Rajan served as the Head of Operations for Bank of America’s Indian branches in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai.
- Rajan has the rare distinction of having set up operational frameworks for two new banks in distinctly different environments—India and Oman—guiding them from inception to full operational capability. He played a pivotal role in building scalable and resilient operational platforms aligned with each institution’s core strengths.
- Rajan also served as Chairman of ADFC (P) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HDFC Bank, which employed over 35,000 professionals and provided specialized processing support across all banking operations.
- With nearly four decades of experience in both international and domestic banking, Rajan is a seasoned management professional. His expertise spans the full spectrum of banking operations, with notable achievements in operations integration, system implementation, and the establishment of centralized operations infrastructures to support geographically diverse and multi-product business models.
- In addition to his corporate accomplishments, Rajan contributes to academia as an honorary member of the Governing Body Council of the R V Institute of Management, Bangalore.
- In his retirement, Rajan actively pursues his personal interests, which include golf, classical music, and reading.
C S Gopinath
- Former Executive Vice President & South Regional Head – Branch Banking, HDFC Bank Ltd.
- A seasoned banking professional with over 45 years of experience, he played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding HDFC Bank's branch network across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. His efforts laid the foundation for Branch Banking—a critical distribution channel for the Bank—not only in these two states but also across South India.
- He was also instrumental in setting up HDFC Bank’s Staff Training College, where he served as the founding Principal, helping shape the bank’s learning and development infrastructure.
- Before his tenure at HDFC Bank, he held various leadership and functional roles at Andhra Bank. His experience spanned rural and metropolitan geographies, as well as key administrative functions at the Head Office, including serving as Head of the Chairman’s Secretariat. This comprehensive exposure across diverse operational landscapes—both in “Bharat” and “India”—gives him a unique perspective and the ability to deliver exceptional value across strategic and operational dimensions.
- Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Lonestar Asset Reconstruction Company.
- He has also served on the Board of Advisors for the Youth4Jobs Foundation, South Asia’s largest organization dedicated to education and employment for Persons with Disabilities.
Durgaprasad M
– Former Head of BPO Operations, HDFC Bank Ltd.
- With over four decades of experience in the banking and financial services sector, Durgaprasad brings deep operational expertise and strategic insight. As the former Head of BPO Operations at HDFC Bank Ltd., he was instrumental in conceptualizing, setting up, and leading the Bank’s in-house BPO for Retail Operations—a pioneering initiative at the time.
- Prior to this, he successfully established and led the Branch Banking network for the Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh.
- His earlier tenure at Andhra Bank included diverse roles across the full spectrum of banking operations and customer service. He served in various rural and metropolitan locations across North and South India, as well as in key administrative functions at the Head Office.
- Durgaprasad’s unique combination of traditional banking experience and modern process management from his BPO leadership enables him to offer valuable strategic guidance—particularly in initiatives aimed at empowering youth in rural India ("Bharat").
- He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Thirupathi Sri Thyagarajaswamy Cultural Trust, an organization dedicated to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage and actively involved in philanthropic work in Tirupati.
- Durgaprasad is also a founding member of the Technology Companies of Andhra Pradesh, an association committed to promoting the IT and ITES sectors as catalysts for regional economic growth and employment generation. The association works closely with the State Government, contributing to policy development and implementation efforts.
